Who cares if firearm safety used to be taught in schools?

I thought we all agreed schools are failing students in the 21st century. Do you really think we need to take time out of the day for shooting lessons?

If you want a special afterschool gun program, I guess you can lobby your school board. I don't think we need one in my children's school.

For the record, I'm not afraid of guns. Nor am I trying to take everyone's guns away.

And you can compare something between two groups without comparing the entire group. FFS, this is so juvenile.

Exactly, who cares...that's the entire response from the left...who cares...

Then goes out and complains, about shooting. Damn if you teach someone that something is dangerous, it could never fall into anything else you've learned.

Thanks, you are the problem....

Part of PE class in grade school... had a couple weeks of BB gun shooting in the gym. We also had archery (a different couple of weeks) ~ and it was the same PE class for all grades, so 6 years.

But we also had Music and Art classes too, which are frequently cut these days....

As much as I support gun rights I have to say the things I see some people around me do that violate the 4 safety rules make me shake my head. Everyone should have to take a safety course, the type they usually have you take to get an enhanced carry permit that works in more states. If lefties were smart they'd offer these as optional high school courses as an alternative to the time wasting sex ed course. Of course they don't really support gun safety, they want less gun safety so they can use it as an excuse to have them banned.

Even then if you don't regularly practice dry firing, clearing jams, holstering and unholstering, etc. and just put 100 rounds through at the range 10 years ago and somehow think you're ready for a home defense situation, you're in for a rude awakening.

Clearly I need to put this in simpler terms. What difference does it make if gun safety used to be taught in school? We don't continue to do things just because we did them before. If you think it's a good idea, make an argument for it. But to say it's good because we did it before makes no sense. People stating it repeatedly adds nothing to the discussion except waxing nostalgic. Now this is in no way an argument against gun lessons, just pointing out it is not an argument for it either. It is irrelevant.

You're either being intentionally obtuse or you simply don't understand logic.

WOW, yes, obviously it need to be broken down kindergarten easy for you.

You are making the case for me and you are either to obtuse to understand that or just simply don't understand simple logic.

If you teach people at a young age about the dangers that a gun can bring, they bring it forward in life, not just with guns. Maybe you don't have the ability to follow basic simple logic. With as many guns as there are, it should be a good that that children are taught about them.

Why don't you want a gun safety class in your school? What about other parents? Oh, that right, your a leftist and tell everyone what to do.

Gun safety irrelevant, yet, because it's not taught anymore you compare us to hamas....BRILLIANT I tell you...BRILLIANT....
