The police in huge metro areas and even small towns are suppose to be hired to protect the population, but instead they are really there to generate revenues. Ruining lives along the way.
They end up protecting the rich elite ruling class and prey on the people for revenues.
It is no longer about finding those who stole, or those that harm others. It is who can we get today, to pay our salary.
Lol... and when BLM protests the EXACT same issue, you and your ilk call them terrorists.

According to the Supreme Court, the police have no obligation to protect the public.
You mean the incident where Brown robbed a store at knife point, tried to take an officers gun, and then charged said officer and was shot?
That episode is only one of several that Obama bungled. From his first days on the job when he accused the Cambridge Police of "acting stupidly" he made it clear that the police were to be considered dolts and enemies of the people.
That will be Obama's legacy. He trained an entire generation of hapless followers that police officers were the enemy.
Where the Attorney General of the United States went after an innocent cop, then finally had to admit to that fact. Then the Administration invited the parents of the source of the entire mess, Michael Brown, to meet with Hillary Clinton, as if he was some kind of victim. There are obviously cops that are bad players that should be prosecuted, this was not one of them.

If they truly went after those cops that were guilty of wrong doing they would have had some credibility. The Castille incident being an obvious one.

The reason why there was so much tension in the first place to the point that what happened to Brown produced riots?
If the city had not used their PD as a means of raising revenue and the force had a better relationship with the citizenry then Brown's death, while unfortunate, would not have been a national story.

I actually agree about that. Brown was not an innocent victim like Garner, Castille, or Rice.
I brought it up just because the city using its PD to raise revenue is what turned the community against the cops such that they were ready to riot.

Yep, not sure what that whole mess was about. Looking at it from the outside, something worthwhile could have happened between the Administration, BLM, the Chief law enforcement officer of the US, and the regular police on the street, but it didnt. Was it some sort of political tactic gone wrong. They had a unique opportunity to solve issues that the current and past presidents did not have. Rather then try to fix issues they actually made them worse

The BLM lost their credibility when they started to put thugs like Brown in the same bag as the true unjust killings.
