Really guys? The poster never said "Cheney
was the puppet master." They said they
believe Cheney was the puppet master. There's nothing to prove, it's their opinion.
Personally, I believe Cheney is the anti-Christ. And no, I don't have proof. I just think he's evil incarnate and was selected as VP for the same reason as every VP since Quayle: life insurance.
Dan Quayle: Seemed like a nice guy, but also seemed clueless.
Al Gore: Even Clinton didn't want him in the country, kept sending him overseas.
Dick Cheney: If the thought of that man with access to the nuclear football didn't scare the bejeezus out of you, you have icewater in your veins.
Joe Biden: Come on, do we really need to talk about everyone's favorite drunk uncle?
Mike Pence: A sop to the far right of the Republican party. The man's so conservative he probably still starts fires by rubbing two sticks together.
Not one of them was someone that
either side wanted to see in the Oval Office chair.
And yeah, considering the massive benefits that Haliburton saw from the wars in the Middle East, it's entirely possible that Cheney was the mastermind. At the very least, he may have been whispering in GW's ear quite a bit during those days. Does it matter at this point? Not really. I'm just glad that nothing happened to Bush while Cheney was waiting in the wings.
