If we really want to do it right, we should do what George Washington did after the Revolutionary War in 1783 and disband the Army.

Can't believe we have a 39 page topic about something that Trump never said.

I guess it goes to show how Trump Haters still believe the MSM without question.

Thing is, doesn't change where I live and what government and laws I am bound by. I loathe Barack Obama, but for 8 years, he was indeed my President. I loathe Sherrod Brown and find Portman generally annoying, but I live in Ohio, so that makes them my Senators. I find my city council and mayor to be mostly repugnant and detestable, but I live in the neighborhood I live, so I am one of the many households "governed" by their mafia-style protection racket.

And when I was in the military, I had a ton of senior enlisted and officers alike I found to be straight knucklehead douche-pickles, but they were the boss, so I said "aye aye" when they gave me orders.

Until Trump is no longer in office, he's your President. That's life. It's unfair from the moment it starts. Suck it up buttercup.
Just because I sit in a garage doesn't make me a Lincoln. Same thing goes for the chair in the Oval Office.

OVERCOMPENSATION move. Trump must really have incredibly small hands.

I did not serve but I'd think most members of the military would rather have a day of rest than have to prep and travel for a parade.

And as far as the money spent on a parade, I think most Americans would rather see it spent towards troops salaries or the VA.

Such a patriot!

Trump disses McCain but praises Nugent. That pretty much tells you everything you need to know about how Trump really feels about the troops.

They don't have to worry. Trump never said anything alleged in the OP.

Well, thanks for calling us amazing....

....but as several of us have pointed out, being in military ceremonies is pretty much a PITA for us. And we'd rather the money be spent on raising Active Duty pay, retired military pay, and helping out our homeless brothers-and-sisters in arms.

But thanks for the compliment.

It's goose steppin propaganda and muscle flexing by a clown you elected. The military gets plenty of praise.

Look, I avoid Hitler comparisons like the plague....check my post history, I've never once compared to Trump to Hitler, he's a con man and a fool, not Hitler.

But the optics of this would be ridiculous, Cheeto Hitler and his tanks and missiles parade would be meme fodder for the next 3 years.
