I wasn't complaining. In fact I rarely do on this forum. I am pragmatic and realistic without being emotionally distraught over things out of my control. That has nothing to do with being ok with being lied to as you say. What does that even mean? Politicians lie all the time to get elected. What is comical is so many people place all their trust in them, like a president is some kind of savior or something. I am glad when they don't completely eff everything up beyond repair.

Presumably, short term duration insurance, is primarily intended for someone who has lost coverage through a job loss. This is one of the " life changes" that permits someone to enroll in an Exchange Plan. Premiums are based on income. Someone without a job is in a better position of qualifying for a subsidy.

It all depends...

Trump should allow a Free Market system that allows people to pick and choose which benefits they want, instead of ramming them down people's throats.

I'm not seeing where people in their 50s and 60s need maternity coverage.

I say let people buy whatever they want, or choose to buy nothing.

But if they opt to go that route, they're barred from good insurance for, say, five years so they can't benefit from a system they refused to pay into. And they have to pay their hospital bills in real time so they can't stiff the rest of us with their unpaid debt.
