Giuliani must have predicted an end to the probe four times already (if not more), and our very own Trumpies here have done so many more times than that. What is it with these people?
They haven't a clue, but they prattle on as if they know something.
Not to beat a dead horse about Giuliani, but I remember at the convention Giuliani was interviewed and it was pointed out to him that the crime rate had been declining for several years (this in reference to his scaremongering speech. "The vast majority of Americans today do not feel safe. They fear for their children. They fear for themselves. ... ").
His reply was memorable (I must paraphrase): "It's not that the people
are less safe, it's that they
feel less safe". That's what they play to, emotion they themselves instill in people. This is a form of manipulation. The facts are irrelevant, like Madison Avenue ad agency wonks they create a demand that they propose to meet. They handle the people who trust them the most like puppets on strings.
These Republicans are trafficking in illusions.
