To get any sort of benefits, women who have two or more children should agree to get a tubal ligation or a monthly birth control shot. If they don't show up for the shot, they don't get any benefits for that month.

Men who refuse to support their welfare babies should be offered free or discount vasectomies. The one time cost would be worth it.

Actually this might be a good way to get illegals to leave since most are Catholic. Macho culture would have them fleeing back to Mexico.

I don't have any scientific data on this. It's all from my anecdotal experiences. I've met many of these single mom types who couldn't wait to tell me how much they are against gay marriage and how much they praise jesus.

But here is some data on this. Notice that the top 10 or so states with the highest single moms are *surprise surprise* southern states that are redder than red.

https://www.statista.com/statistics/...e-us-by-state/

Again, speaking from my experience, single moms tend to be religious conservative and they hate gay rights. Hence, they tend to vote for bigots like Pence.

I disagree. My experience has been just the opposite. Many single moms tend to be liberals and that's why they have children out of wedlock. Liberals are the ones who embrace gays, not conservatives. I have a female relative that has had 5 kids by 4 different men and was only married to one of them. She's about as liberal as you can get and has no problem with gays whatsoever and is also an atheist.

I'm not sure that is so poor.
I'd like to see a link to actual statistics showing Medicaid babies will become criminals and have baby after baby.
While I don't know about criminals, I know that monkey see monkey do.

So for the decade there is likely to be over 18 million babies born to mothers who are so poor that Medicaid is paying for the baby.

Most of those 18 million Medicaid babies being born in the 2010s, will start having massive amounts of babies in the 2030s.

The 2030s will be interesting with the 2010s becoming criminals and having baby after baby while the system is overwhelmed already with baby-boomers on Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security.

Don't they know that a baby costs more than a Bentley? I guess not since the government is raising 47% or more than children these days.

Why wouldn't the poor keep having babies, the government incentivizes them to have more with tax credits and assorted welfare payments.

The poorer a population the higher the birthrate, regardless of welfare programs.

The Nordic countries have the richest benefits for expectant / new mothers and children and are amongst the lowest in terms of birth rate.

In contrast, there are no financial benefits in Niger and yet it has the highest birth rate in the world, almost 7 children for every female.

The US fertility rates hit all time lows in 2016, 2006 and 1976.

The rate of abortion has been declining towards record lows, for years.

Birth rates have been declining for years, too.

Poor people have a higher birth rate than non- poor, everywhere. It has nothing to do with welfare benefits or lack thereof.
