Important? It's nonsense dredged up by CNN. Even they admit, begrudgingly that no laws have been broken.

But if you want them to tell you how to think, I'm OK with that.

To look at something, and say "hey that is corruptive as all heck" doesn't require laws to be broken.

Its not nonsense, its a important thing that says that we should never allow this to occur again.

The employees placed the charges at Trump-branded properties on department-issued Visa cards."

I have no idea whether it is legal. Maybe when you're a DC elite, you get to do stuff like this. Ask Maxine Waters:

In the midst of a national financial catastrophe, Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) used her position as a senior member of Congress and member of the House Financial Services Committee to prevail upon Treasury officials to meet with OneUnited Bank. She never disclosed that her husband held stock in the bank

BTW, how do you guys explain the fact that Trump has donated his $400,000 salary to various gov't programs?

Pretty easily when his family is getting 500 million dollar loans, and he is making FAR more then that just in fees he charges to the government. 2.4 million alone from charging them rent in Trump Tower.

Trump makes far more money charging government than that pittance salary. As an example, Trump charged the Secret Service $64K to use his elevators in Trump Tower for one month. And that was to provide him security! That whole "donating his salary" must make Trump laugh hard. He also charged the Secret Service some $35K to use his golf carts.

The Government is Paying $2.4 Million to Rent Space in New York City's Trump Tower

"One purchase order reviewed by CBS News shows the US Secret Service has spent $35,185 on golf cart rentals “for POTUS visit” in Palm Beach County, Florida since the President’s inauguration.

Another purchase order showed a charge of $64,000 for “Elevator services- Trump Tower” in December 2016. A Secret Service official told CBS News that “elevator inspection is one of many protective operational measures utilized by the Secret Service.”

(clean up on isle 3)
Yet you did not comment on the subject of this thread.

Is it proper for a sitting president to profit from charging the US government using their products or services because that person wants to use their businesses during their term in office?
