According to Trump and his lawyer, there's nothing there to get. Which, of course, begs the question of why they want the investigation shut down. If there's nothing to find, Mueller will declare Trump innocent and everything will return to normal.

In what century? Time to finish up. Enough taxpayer money has been wasted already. It needs to be stopped immediately and get a new real independent investigation going to get the real crooks. Won't it be fun when the investigators become the investigated?

Dowd is now walking his statements back and states he was speaking personally and not as Trump's attorney.
Good God. One would think he would be smarter than this.

If one has nothing to hide - they don't need to shut down an investigation.
I agree with Gowdy. If Mullers questions are solely about the period of time during the election and election only Trump should sit down with him. It appears Muller wants to go on a fishing expedition as far back as the early 90's.
Frankly, I think Muller is looking for a way out because he knows he has nothing on Trump personally colluding with Russians during the election and issued that Subpoena to the Trump organization to make it appear he is going to cross that red line so Trump will fire him. If Trump fires him the investigation becomes a footnote. Unfortunately for Trump and the rest of the sane-minded citizens of the United States we are gonna have to ride this out.
