Kaczynski isn't one who can be placed on our mainstream understanding of the political spectrum. In his manifesto, he goes so far as to call conservatives 'fools'.
Yes, he wrote extensively about the dangers of leftism and explained how leftists (not necessarily liberals) and their thoughts and behavior are the product of low self-esteem and what he termed over-socialization. However, critiquing the left does not mean he is a conservative in the sense that he would be necessarily standing up for so called 'traditional values'. Nothing in his writings really signifies he is a 'conservative' as we might view the term, but rather a scathing attack on the left's inability to naturally progress through the normal range of human development within their lifetime.
His critique of the left for the purposes of his writing was to explain how continued technological advancements will be eventually taken over by the left and used to continue to dumb down and turn people into non-thinking beings as well as to gain more and more power at the expense of the individual - think FB and Google.
The right claimed Roy Moore, so why not the Unibomber. The party of law and order and family values strikes again!
"Family values" only means hating LGBTQ people and ruining their lives. That's about all Republicans care about anymore. Well that, guns, and abortion.
