Trump called Putin and congratulated him on his election.

That's what leaders do when one gets elected in a civilized world.

Because Putin's real disciple broke her hand patting herself on the back and couldn't dial her unsecure phone or send an email through her private server to congratulate her Lord herself. So President Trump stepped in and helped her out.

Putin was not "elected."

Did you see the people stuffing those wads of ballots into the boxes? Some were put in before the 'election' even started. What a sham!

So basically Trump congratulated Putin for cheating to win. Kind of figures. This is the guy who whined and whined about 'rigged' elections.

Putin: wins his "election" by killing or jailing his opponents

Trump: obstructs justice by firing law enforcement investigating him

Not much difference between the two, both are using dictator strong-arm tactics.

I agree. Obama likewise was reported as calling Mr. Putin after one election (I think after he served as president for 8 years, then served as prime minister, then again was elected president).

Yes, it appears 'unseemly', given that the Russian election was essentially role-playing by all, save for Putin. However, he is the leader of Russia, and we, and Mr. Trump, must deal with him.

Putin won. He did ban his main opponent from running, but overall the guy is popular in Russia and with right wing Americans. From a Russian historical perspective Putin is a nice guy, too.

If there ever was a rigged election it was this one. Makes you wonder: why does Trump keep kissing Putin's buttsky? And right after Putin's henchmen tried to assassinate a man and his daughter in England. Just when we thought Trump couldn't get any more repulsive.

How true. It’s a sham election. Similar to ours.
