Now we don't know that. Just because Ryan is also a lying weasel, there is no evidence that he is as corrupt as Trump.

However, I do think there may be a connection here.

Gowdy announced he was throwing in the towel and then starts talking half reasonable.

Wonder if Ryan will do the same.

He must be gauging how popular the Democratic opponent in his district is.

Probably doesn't want to end his political career in an embarrassing defeat.

Yes, Ryan did put up a 1.3 trillion dollar spending bill. But guess what? Ready for it?! Your dear leader signed it into law now didn't he. Without that coveted Donny signature, it goes nowhere. Trump loves swimming in that oh so wicked and evil swamp!

That is the rumor. I think there will be many Republicans running in 2020. Jeff Flake has been in NH recently.

"Amodei hinted Ryan may be considering running for President or another high office. Ryan has been mentioned as a presidential candidate before, although Trump will be up for re-election in 2020..."

If the Dems take the house, I doubt they will choose Pelosi as the Speaker again. I think they realize they need a different person that's not so polarizing if they want to grow the party.
