He was never going to cut social security, the guy just authored a 1.3 trillion dollar spending bill that has enough pork for everyone.
Ryan voted for the $700 billion bank bailout- TARP,the biggest Medicare expansion in U.S. history, a massive highway bill that included the “Bridge to Nowhere” and other monstrosities when George W. Bush was pres.
Ryan’s votes on huge spending also came with his support for the Bush-era tax cuts, which blew a titanic size hole in the budget.
Yes, Ryan did put up a 1.3 trillion dollar spending bill. But guess what? Ready for it?! Your dear leader signed it into law now didn't he. Without that coveted Donny signature, it goes nowhere. Trump loves swimming in that oh so wicked and evil swamp!

"Amodei hinted Ryan may be considering running for President or another high office. Ryan has been mentioned as a presidential candidate before, although Trump will be up for re-election in 2020..."
Whether Ryan goes or stays, come next January, Nancy Pelosi may be taking the gavel and yell out, "I'm Back!"
If the Dems take the house, I doubt they will choose Pelosi as the Speaker again. I think they realize they need a different person that's not so polarizing if they want to grow the party.
