You can't put this genie back in the bottle. We aren't going to return to pre-digitization days. It's just not going to happen. We need to find a way to get a handle on this, because technology is here to stay.

Im getting to the point that the perps need "an accident" or... remember the first scene in some 1980s movie where a dictator is sitting down to lunch and gets laser fried... Dont remember the name.

Pats fan. They need a bullet in return.

The NSA doesn't really handle this kind of thing, DHS, and the FBI do.

And you are right, this is where the real danger lies right now. It's going to be the way the next war is fought. And we have given over so much of our lives and finances and work and government and business to digital technology that it wouldn't be hard to bring this country to its knees.

This is why cyber hacking into our systems by foreign governments is such an urgent issue. No matter what side of the political aisle you're on, we need to see this as the true threat that it is.
Not surprising at all, it doesn't fit a narrative they want to push.

Remember the msm doesn't reporting news, it's all about promoting narratives.

The fact of the matter is we are extremely vulnerable to these kinds of attacks, and they don't want us to know it.

Yeah, we're talking Atlanta/Georgia Gubburment, "quickly" isn't a concept they understand.

And this isn't new... Savannah was hit with the same/similar a couple months ago. Happening around the country and not very well reported because it's a HUGE vulnerability.

What can they do? Unplug the computers and get new servers/modems or just pay the ransom?

We didn't have these issues when everything was on paper and stored in a file cabinet. LOL

I wonder if the FBI announced a task force with full authority of the US Government to use any means necessary to bring the perps to justice dead or alive like in the old west if they would stop. Stealing a horse was a hanging offense in this country once upon a time.

If these are foreign hackers couldn’t this be considered an act of terrorism? No way the city of Atlanta should be on their own here.

The media are too busy trying to sell their salacious one night stand 12 yes ago, stormy story to report on real news

You'd think the US Govt would come down hard and bring many resources on these hackers.
