Very thorough article with lots of evidence of how Trump and his administration has been fleecing America. Truly sad.

Please read before you even comment, especially if you're going to claim fake news...

Trump & Co. Are Stealing America Blind: A Timeline

"More than at any time in history, the president of the United States is actively using the power and prestige of his office to line his own pockets: landing loans for his businesses, steering wealthy buyers to his condos, securing cheap foreign labor for his resorts, preserving federal subsidies for his housing projects, easing regulations on his golf courses, licensing his name to overseas projects, even peddling coffee mugs and shot glasses bearing the presidential seal....

For Trump, whose business revolves around the marketability of his name, there has proved to be no public policy too big, and no private opportunity too crass, to exploit for personal profit."

How can this be? The msm gleefully reported that Trump has dropped on the Forbes list.

Of course we New Yorkers know Trump better than others do, so less likely to be gullible - which is why he lost by a landslide here.

When the hometown boy can't get his neighbors to vote for him, that speaks volumes. People in Iowa have no history about Trump, but the people of NY have known him for decades. I know some people from NY, and they saw how he made his money and how many people he stepped on to get ahead. One thing about New Yorkers, they pull no punches and will call a spade a spade.

To most other people in the country, he was fairly unknown until he rode down in that elevator. If they had seen how he was throughout his life, they would not feel so positive about the kind of person he actually is.

I think they are starting to see who he is. When he plays with farmers' livelihood with the tariff war, mess up the VA even more by privatizing it and wreck havoc with the Gen X'ers retirement income nothing good will come out of it for America nor for him.

the way I see it, when Trump was campaigning and talking about draining the swamp, he was not yet privy to secret information, not yet privy to how intertwined and widespread the swamp the truly is. I have a feeling once he won the election, he got an eye-opener of a briefing and this is when he learned about all the corruption and swamp politics, its likely at that point, he realized it was not possible to drain the swamp.

So his motto became 'if you can't beat them, join them?'

Iowa isn't too happy about how things are going. Here's an article from today's Des Moines Register looking at how the trade war with China is likely to affect the state:

Iowa will see 'hits across the board' as trade war with China escalates

An escalating trade war between the U.S. and China will hit two key parts of Iowa's economy — farming and manufacturing.

And the timing is terrible.

"It's going to make a bad situation worse for agriculture," said David Swenson, an Iowa State University economist. And President Donald Trump's tariffs on foreign steel and aluminum will hit Iowa manufacturing as it's getting back on its feet.

Yeah but these are just short-term setbacks.

Over the long-term it will be great. We'll make a ton of money off of buying things we make that we sell to ourselves.

It's like running a lemonade stand in your own living room. We will all have all the lemonade we can drink.

MAGA!

Or perhaps the word we;re looking for is "Geronimo!"

The GOP is going to approve massive subsidies to compensate for the loss by way of the tariffs. So Trump will still "LOOK" good in the eyes of his base.
