All that matters is that Trump remains exceedingly popular with his base. As long as that remains the case, he is invincible. I'm concerned about an uprising if Trump is brought down, even if the reason would be justifiable under any other administration. Trump's base is more loyal to Trump than they are the USA (as the USA currently exists). The USA they are loyal to is the one that existed before 1964.

No he was not convicted, he was never even tried -- the pardon pre-empted any trial. And no you don't have to admit to anything to receive a pardon.
While a pardon removes one's ability to plead the 5th on questions related to the nature of the crime that was pardoned, there is no such thing as "voiding" a pardon. Once a pardon is issued it can't be un-done. The worst that can happen to someone who refuses to testify about actions for which he has been pardon is they can be held in contempt until such time as they agree to cooperate.
To receive a "Presidential Pardon", yes you must admit guilt.
