States with the highest rates of legal gun ownership on average have the lowest murder rates by guns and that is a fact. See what I'm saying?
The "gun deaths" stats include accidents, suicides and justifiable homicides. It should not take a genius to realize that in areas with high rates of legal gun ownership accidents, suicides and justifiable homicides* by gun are going to be higher than area that restricts the legal ownership of guns. Depending on where the stats were compiled from justifiable homicide can even include the actions of law enforcement. Similarly houses that have stairs have high rates of death due to them.
If you want to have an educated discussion about this I'd suggest sticking to the relevant stats which should only include gun deaths due to crime.
The next time someone says that banning guns will stop violence, we need to confront gun-grabbers with the facts.
Without a 'closed' study where all parameters are controlled and kept consistent, it is ridiculous to assign the change of one factor as the overall factor to influence.
EXHAUSTIVE study - must not see the lowest gun crime (or closer) is in MA, a place with the strictest gun control.
That's a moot point MA does not have the lowest or close to lowest crime figures overall. Nor is it the point of the thread. Many places across the world have low gun crime rates, and unbelievably high overall crime rates, to the point you'd beg to have gun crime rates equivalent to Chicago if you could also have Chicago's overall crime rate too.
It's like making a claim that speeding tickets issued fell dramatically after a state banned the use of private motor vehicles. Well duh!
Murders might have spiked in other countries but murders per 100,000 are far greater in America AND the portion of those murders committed with a firearm are growing.
Americans are 25 times more likely to be murdered by a firearm than citizens of any other developed country.
Next up.....over 400,000 firearms are stolen PER YEAR in the U.S. Holy Moly!!
And so on, and so on.......
You have understand that almost none of these killings are committed by law abiding gun owners. Most are done by criminals who have no regard for gun laws.

Right - they become criminals (or found out) after people die. Until then they are good guys with guns.
The OP says murder rates rise when guns are regulated heavily. I gave the example of MA - could give many more. But the OP changes his mind and says he didn't really mean gun crimes or murder, he meant other crimes.
Funny stuff. Bottom line - every study has shown the opposite. I've read them, I've heard them and it's not even close. Sure, there are exceptions to the rule (anecdotes, mormons, etc). But the stats are clear. Really clear.
Go try to fool other people - you know, people who don't read or can't do basic math. Crazy people who don't base their lives on reason and logic.
