Yeah, and if it had gone that way, none of this would have happened. When cops tell you to take your hands out of your pockets, you take your hands out of your pockets. You don't refuse or what happened to him is going to happen.
He said "Hold on. I have stuff in my hands" Immediately he was then taken down. Not exactly a refusal.
Why didn’t they write him a ticket, it’s late at night with plenty of parking spaces available
Why harass the man over a less than $100 parking ticket? Cops are supposed to be the mediator that’s their job to follow protocol, not make things up to fit their point of view. So what if he had his hands in his pockets they approached him in a public parking lot over a parking ticket.
He was driving a nice car and on their pathetic 30k salary they were most likely mad

Those cops were upset, a black man get millions playing basketball driving a six figure car. Meanwhile they are driving Kia’s working all night with nothing to do but Harrass someone over a parking ticket in the middle of the night.
Did you even watch the video? Cops were aggressive for no reason, they were mad. Citizens have no obligation to be nice to police just follow the law. Give him his ticket which he said and move on to fight real crime.

You need to show your hands when asked. They have no idea what he has in his pockets. He didn't comply and was tased. Too effing bad. Maybe he will learn his lesson, but I am guessing he won't.

I only know what I read in the article. If it's different in the video, I haven't watched it. If you're reading another article, it would be helpful to post the link.
If your hands are in your pockets, using the excuse that you have things in your hands for not immediately removing them makes zero sense.

Now they just made a rich man even richer with tax payer dollars over a $65 parking ticket. He’s well in his rights for a harassment lawsuit.Sounds like the right thing to do to me lol

Maybe they were upset because douchebags with a lot of money (famous or not) tend to think they can take up two spaces and park in handicapped spots to protect their big investment.

He also was combative when they were handcuffing him...

No he won't. He won't get a dime. He was clearly in the wrong. Now he has the hassle of having to clear up this mess. LOL.
