Unions are wonderful because they look out for the middle class. They pay well and provide benefits. I’m not sure why some hate them so much.
I was a shop steward back in the late '70s early '80s.
As it was, it always the same people, time after time, not being where they were supposed to be, leaving early, only sick on Mondays, etc., etc., you get the idea.
At one point I privately asked one chronic slacker, "If you had a company, would you want someone like you as an employee?"
Needless to say he was pissed and wanted to file a grievance against me. What a dips*it, lol.
After a few years of that nonsense I'd had enough, refused any further nominations for the position and in '90 went into management and never looked back.
Best move I ever made.
At some point unions lost their way, IMO. Couldn't relate to the mentality.
No doubt, it’s should be criminal with how long the line usually is at the DMV or how rude the workers at the post office are.
Let’s hope a lot of them are quitting
