Ah shucks ......give the teacher a break. He was just trying to build a relationship with the students he enlisted to help him. A little extra credit activity.

I wonder if the students will be charged with a crime for their participation.

Fire him.

If the parents want to make their kids drown animals they can do that at home.

No place in school for that crap.

Yes...but I wish there was something more to charge him with....

to drown these lovely creatures is horrible, but to enlist the children in doing so should be criminal. They were given metal rods to pound the animals heads under water!!

They will sadly never forget that experience!

I saw this last night on DNA FB page that documents animal abusers. It is cruel and sickening for this man to kill these animals but even worse to subject kids to seeing the abuse.

Fire him as an example. The lives of 2 raccoons aren't important to most people but to kill them in a cruel manner shows a lack of any empathy as a human being and sets a poor example that it's ok to be cruel as long as you personally think it's fine. This isn't the 1800s anymore when it was ok to not give a crap about anything that's not human.
And I'll add that if you think this is just fine and even funny, you need to see a shrink IMO.

This may violate animal cruelty laws, but even if not it was a horrible thing to do. He should be prosecuted, and fired.
