I've noticed a decline in the quality of employees in stores where I regularly shop. these employees don't know their store stock. several times I've seen employees chatting in groups to each other instead of helping customers.
I believe the very low unemployment stats. employers seem to be willing to hire anyone who can breathe in my city.
Hopefully good news. When the economy sucks, smart people are stuck working brain-dead jobs. When every idiot can get a job, that means the competent people have moved up to something better.
Wait, a few years ago Trump said employment numbers were fake. Now they're not?
Yup ,they go bye the numbers of people not getting unemployment not actual people working. If unemployment numbers go down it is assumed by the goverment more people are working and that is not the case.

Uh, this has been going on for a while now. At least ten years or more, even when the unemployment numbers were sky high, so the unemployment rate has nothing to do with it. Quality employees cost more money and its cheaper to hire mediocre talent and the company saves bucks.
The elephant in the room concerning this economy is if there really was a labor shortage, why are wages still stagnant?
Nobody can tell me the economy is booming until we start seeing some significant wage increases.
