Just because I'm pedantic. Japan, China, the Soviet Union and Russia have all landed on the moon. None with people though.

A much more logical system, used by science/scientists and manufacturing worldwide............of course the USA will never fully adopt it.

I’ll be fine if people day to day still uses imperial, but I would like to have metric road signs and celsius included on weather forecasts.

Wasn't there a satellite or something that went to Mars and one design team was using Imperial while the other team used metric? When it came to land it crashed because of the difference in instructions.

Not exactly what I thought but close:

Lets go metric. Then Trump would be 2.2 times more delusional than I previously thought.

The metric system is a base 10 system. You could argue that the American/English system is base 2. It is much easier to cut in half. 1/2 in, 1/4 in, 1/8 in etc. You can picture it. Going from 15cm to 6.5 cm to 3.25 cm is not as elegant.

Your math is off. Half of 15 cm would 7.5 cm's, plus I don't understand your point.

When using any system the number you start with, and cutting into 1/2 etc is as complicated as the number you start off with.

Is figuring out what 1/2 of 3'4 3/8" easier because it's not metric? What is one half a mile in feet? No cheating.

In metric, one half of one kilometre is 500 metres. Simple.

If the "English" system of measurement was good enough for Jesus, it's good enough for us.
