We probably don’t love governing, but realize it is a job that must be done. Dems certainly DO love to govern. They love the power and prestige that goes with high political office. They love the adoration of their flocks of sheep, bowing and genuflecting as they pass. They love the financial benefits that come with being in a position to help others who will gladly pay for some special consideration(hello Hillary).
They certainly love the possibility of being in a long term, if not lifetime, position, living off the public’s money, staffers always at their beck and call, laughing at people like you who make their lives possible, while not caring a whit about most of their supporters.
So, 1 out of 3. If you were a MLB player, you would be batting .333.

By the title of this topic "Liberals ARe Pushing This Country To The Edge", it seems you don't really want to be civil just yet.
There are some ways to tone things down and still present your opinions. One is to avoid blaming the other side for every kerfuffle, large or small, that arises.
Another way to to avoid "What Aboutism", as there are always going to be different opinions.
Still another is the easiest. Stop calling other people names when they disagree with you. When mutual respect happens, civility follows. And once it begins, political things tend to happen that are more agreeable to everyone.
This response is very civil, rational and reasonable. But the lunacy and the vicious attack of the writer of the quoted article, is not worthy of such a reply. Those who quote and follow such mad dogs, are showing their lack of original thought. It appears that a main reason Trump became popular with them, is that they no longer have to do any thinking for themselves.

The only people who are remotely associated with facts are libertarians. So-called “conservatives” are every bit as lacking in factual knowledge and reliant on emotion as liberals.

These people were at a protest. The antifa radical set the girl's hair on fire because she is a Trump supporter.
Republicans may hold the levers on governing, but that is meaningless if they don't have public support. Lack of support often leads to a legislative and judicial stalemate, loss of seats in midterm elections, and in severe cases, presidential impeachment... exactly what corrupt democrats want.
Democrats hold the biggest levers on public manipulation through the media outlets, which is the primary mechanism responsible for the political turmoil we see today. They are purposefully dividing the country by riling people up over irrelevant and often misunderstood issues. They are constantly spinning issues out of context to confuse and misguide people.
They are inflicting pain on Trump for winning a fair election without their express approval, and deriding the population who voted for him. All this is doing is strengthening Trump's base, and pushing liberal voters even more to the left, further dividing the country.
