In a brief moment of lucidity, Schumer put something forward I'm willing to support. If I had to nitpick I'd remove the mandate to guarantee a certain amount of taxpayer dollars for the purpose of funding cannabis business startups, but I'm willing to overlook that because I think the bill serves the greater good on the whole -- most notably by honoring the concept of States rights on the issue as well as encouraging that scarlet letters be removed from otherwise law-abiding citizens' personal records.
This shows just how desperate the democrats have become.
Even if it is merely a ploy to rally their base, it doesn't change the fact that a bill like this is overdue. I'm less concerned with the motivation for reasonable legislation than I am in actually seeing reasonable legislation being put forward. Congress can take ten minutes out of their day to do their job and then feel free to resume with unproductive pettiness and vitriol.

It is a ploy, the democrats have become a complete disaster, they lack any platform, and have become a part that has noting to offer but hate.
This isn't going to save the democrats, even if it passes, they need a complete overhaul of their party.
