That ended when Trump became President . It shouldn’t be a surprise as this is what he campaigned on and he’s fulfilling his campaign promises .

Other countries including Mexico have immigration laws too but the left doesn’t even mention that .

The European countries they fantasize about have immigration laws too and so does Canada .

Newsflash America isn’t the only country with immigration laws . It’s clear liberals want totally open borders and freebies for everyone including illegal aliens . Illegal immigration and weak enforcement in past admins already hurts the country and this would absolutely destroy the country .

We need zero tolerance because unfortunately give an inch they’ll take a mile .

We are done being taken advantage of .

People can come in IF they wait in line AND show merit and have potential to improve the country .
Do you ghost write for Trump on the side?

Why not discuss the realities?

House immigration bill will not include mandate on checking employees' legal status

Quote:
WASHINGTON
An effort to mandate that every employer use a system to check that their employees are working in the country legally was rejected by House leaders Tuesday — a strong signal that those pushing immigration reform do not believe it has enough support to be passed as part of a comprehensive immigration bill.

...Farm groups strongly opposed the defeated employee verification system. Those groups represent huge swaths of the Central Valley districts of House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy, R-California, and Rep. Jeff Denham, R-California, who have been leading immigration efforts in the House. ...

"Agriculture groups are highly influential in the districts of Denham and McCarthy. McCarthy is seen as safe in his district, but Denham, whose district was won by Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton in 2016 and has a huge Hispanic population, is at risk."

Well said. Liberals will whine about lack of jobs and stagnant wages then welcome everyone from all over the world to come take these jobs.

They’re more concerned with the welfare of immigrants than the welfare of their own American neighbor.

“America first” is a novel concept for them. Norway, Japan, Canada, etc you can’t just show up and become a citizen and America should be no different.

Why do farmers and growers need illegal aliens to pick their crops when we have unlimited visas for legal, foreign workers?

That bill failed not due to e-verify in it. It was the GOP that wanted e-verify not the Dems. it was because of many other things in the bill that caused it to fail.

Good question, similar to mine, so why then are they against e-verify?

Not according to Mr. Denham & Mr. McCarthy's electorate.

Who are the "several employers busted"? Do you have a link? You're really not a very trustworthy source of information.

Oh lord help us.

"dumbest" and "weak" are the only words coming from Trump , or his Secretary' or Stephen Miller, or the "coffee girl" or WHOEVER writes his tweets....that the world must use to describe America more and more each day.
Silencio!!!
STOP!!!
Shutty!!

WHOEVER is typing ,then reading it aloud to him AT MOST ,then he must give an iconic nod and "send away" not Trump person tweeting these ignoramus statements since 2016.

He is a practicing illiterate and appears to be transforming into a walnut brain TREX with tiny thumbhands.

No one but Putin wants America to have open borders .
Trump expresses his guilty alliance with the Russian vlad nearly every time he speaks.

Of course other countries have immigration laws. That's why the left doesn't mention it. Because we all know it! Except maybe you. No, liberals don't want totally open borders. That's just an invention of Republicans.

Funny, I see you make a point of describing yourself at a "Native" of Los Angeles. Are you descended from one of the original native American Indian tribes from the 17th century? Or maybe from the Mexicans from the 18th century? I'm guessing that likely your use of "Native" is much narrower, and it's not that long ago that you arrived from somewhere else.

You apparently haven't received your updated marching orders. Plenty of top liberals are calling for open borders. And the ones that are too afraid to openly call for it just want to eviscerate any immigration enforcement to the point that it is essentially open borders.

As an aside, the Know Nothings originally & erroneously retained the name The Native American Party. There are parallels:

Quote:
The Native American Party, renamed the American Party in 1855 and commonly known as the Know Nothing movement, was an American nativist political party that operated nationally in the mid-1850s. It was primarily anti-Catholic, xenophobic and hostile to immigration, starting originally as a secret society. The movement briefly emerged as a major political party in the form of the American Party. Adherents to the movement were to reply "I know nothing" when asked about its specifics by outsiders, thus providing the group with its common name. ...
