Finally, this story has been updated and turns out, the Russians were behind it. Hannity owes everyone a full apology for pushing his insane conspiracy theory! Or maybe Sean Hannity works for Putin too?
BTW, if you doubt Isikoff's credibility, keep in mind that he broke the Monica Lewinsky story.
"...In the summer of 2016, Russian intelligence agents secretly planted a fake report claiming that Democratic National Committee staffer Seth Rich was gunned down by a squad of assassins working for Hillary Clinton, giving rise to a notorious conspiracy theory that captivated conservative activists and was later promoted from inside President Trump’s White House, a Yahoo News investigation has found..."
1. That Russia peddled the story about Seth Rich being killed while going to meet with FBI agents to testify against Hillary Clinton is hardly breaking news. The NY Times reported on it over 2 years ago.
2. Sean Hannity did not peddle the story that Russia propagated. Rather, he ran with a Fox News story from May 2017 that claimed a "federal investigator" had confirmed that Seth Rich had extensive communications with Wikileaks that were found on his computer. Big difference.
3. The author of that Yahoo article (Michael Isikoff) also the 'broke the story about the fake Steele dossier and then his story was used as a 'source' for the FISA warrants. The fact that they describe Rich's death as an "alleged murder" says all we need to know about this "relevation" and his editoralization should be taken with a grain of salt.
I'm not sure why 2-3 years later, this old news about Seth Rich is suddenly being brought back up again. The timing is most coincidental between the Epstein charges and the upcoming Mueller testimony.

1. I'm not sure what you are trying to state. That article mentioned Guccifer 2.0, but apparently nobody believed him, or the Fox conspiracy story about the Dems would not have ever had legs (even if only with the alt-right crowd).
2. That is pretty much what I stated. But Hannity embellished it and carried on after the investigator said it was not true, so much so that the family felt harassed.
3. Can you post a source? You are claiming the story was fake because you think the dossier was? And what dates are you referring to? Which FISA warrant? Please post some evidence, as your comment is rather confusing chronologically.
Because investigations take time. This Seth Rich thread was started one year ago--it has not been all that long or 2-3 years since there was news about it.

So they aren't through with the Russian conspiracies after the failed Mueller investigation?
