The clearances should not be automatically renewed for them though as they have no reason for it if they are not employed with a contractor with reason to have it. Renewal costs should be borne by the contractor.
And if this was a new policy saying that any past employee loses their clearance when their stint ends, Id be fine with the change.

This is about trying to punish 6 people because they exercise their free speech rights. A CLEAR violation of the constitution. 3 of these do not have clearance or don't use it at all according to them. The other 3 are unknown. But they were picked because of their speech against Trump, and thats unconstitutional.

Does the president's Senior Advisor of Nothing have a security clearance? Should someone having business dealings with China have security clearance?

Agreed

In this case we don't know. We need to investigate to see if a crime was committed. See what I did there?

As long as Brennen has clearance, Brennen has access. We don't know for sure if he does. If he does, he shouldn't.
You have proven yourself completely clueless on this topic. I’m done with you.

Are they kidding? How stupid is anyone who accepts or accuses them of 'monetizing' their positions, while Trump gets away with murder.

This president and his family have monetized the office of POTUS like nobody ever before them. How idiotic and totally hypocritical of anyone accusing people other than Trump--the most serious abuser of 'monetizing.'

Ask Rand Paul and all the other cowardly congressional GOP flunkies if they ever heard of the Emoluments clause. Ask them how Trump gets away with enriching himself through his properties. Ask them how Trump gets away with having infomercials for his properties. Ask them how Trump's doofus kids get away with selling access to their father. Ask them how Javanka gets away with enriching themselves using the office of president.

This immature mercenary moronic dictator has to go. And thankfully, he would take his family and Huckasanders with him.
That jumped out at me Trump complaining about monetizing their position, Beyond him Kushner, Ivanka come to mind.

Brennen doesn't work for the government. Why should he have security clearance, if he actually does? <<make sure you avoid that
LOL, fine. You tell yourself that! Helps cons sleep at night, I'm sure.

Let me remind you that there has to be evidence to get a FISA warrant, good evidence to make it past three or four republican-appointed judges.

So, Rand Paul can play all the games he wants. It's not going to change anything. He's just looking for some sort of appointment in this administration, since he's not running for office again (he says).

It's amazing that cons still wonder why no one from the Obama administration is being investigated and prosecuted for anything. Hint: it's probably because they did nothing prosecutable.

Whereas the cheeto's administration, and the cheeto himself, ARE being investigated.

Mueller is investigating crimes. He's looking...that's how white-collar crimes are revealed.

Well if Clapper and Brennan come back to work for the government or a contractor who do you think ends up paying for a new security clearance from scratch, the taxpayer. So what have you accomplished and what exactly is the problem you are addressing. It's hysterical to listen to Trumps supporters claim this was based on a security problem, did Homeland or the DOJ raise this as an issue or was this just Trump retaliating. Where exactly are Clapper and Brennan viewing Top Secret information.

Many people are brought back into positions requiring security clearances, think about Mueller and Petraeus and other military officers that are brought into positions. People are just attempting to rationalize this and it is certainly not based on facts.

And? So?

lol Brennen isn't anyone. He's not Bob from accounting.

Yet you have no proof of that when it comes to Brennen.

Agreed

The only one ignorant here is you. You actually think that Brennen having clearance means he has no access to security? LMAO I've got a bridge to sell you in Brooklyn.

Whatever you do, don't reply to my comments, just like you did in this post. Instead post some garbage that has nothing to do with Brennen specifically.

And more importantly don't mention the fact that the left was played by Rand Paul who exposed the left for doing just what he did, an investigation in search of a crime.

The partisan left was just exposed. We can do it but you can't.
Brennen no longer has access to classified information. He is no longer employed by the government. Can't get much simpler.

Don't forget your long straw. It can get a little hard to breath when you're heads that far in the sand.

A classic case of the pot calling the kettle black.

The cheeto is raking it in as president, along with his family. He knows what he's doing is wrong. So, he accuses people of doing what HE'S doing.

"Oh, look over there!"
