Good economic news coming out in the morning. I believe this shows the effects of tax cuts and repatriated money. Two things that were not going to happen if Hillary had won. If Gary Johnson had won we would have similar tax cuts IMHO. And getting anything over 4% in this late a stage in the recovery since 2009 would be very impressive.

Second-quarter GDP data on Friday is set to be released at 8:30 a.m. Eastern and may reflect one of the fastest rates of economic expansion since a 5.2% print in the third quarter of 2014, and if it comes out ahead of that figure, it would be the best GDP report since 2003, writes MarketWatch's Steve Goldstein.

This economy has been wonderful the last 1.5 years. Due to the ax cuts, this will continue for an extended period of time.

I am very impressed at the business confidence surveys which are at or near all time highs.

I'm hoping for over 5% to see gigantic whale tears from the Dems hoping to destroy America.

I'm glad we got something out of the $1T+ in tax cuts but we will see how this plays over time, they are predicting pretty large deficits for 2019. The tax receipts are down and show no signs of increasing in a healthy economy, that is a problem. Meanwhile Kudlow is talking about even more tax cuts next year and was previously quoted as saying that the tax cuts paid for themselves.

Didn't leftist "economists" say that 3% economic growth under President Trump and his policies was "impossible?"

Who said I had low hopes? Just trying to remind you of what happened last time you guys counted your chickens before they hatched.

Economists are saying 4.2% or higher. Not the Atlanta fed or anyone on CD. But feel free to look at the glass half empty if it makes you feel better.

Sigh ...

I posted this in another thread, and nobody paid attention.

There is a huge amount of uncertainty with this GDP print.

They will be revising GDP going back decades. This could have a huge impact on what gets reported.

It might be 4 or 5%, but it might also be 2%.
