Easier to just endlessly ***** about it because if you fix it you lose the ability to drive people to the polls to vote for something you don't really want to fix. They don't want to fix it, they want to give the stupid a symbol, headlines like ICE detaining some illegals or a ****ing wall that does nothing but works as a symbol of action. Doesn't matter if that will never fix the problem, it is something tangible people can point to as "working towards fixing" even if it doesn't do a damn thing to fix anything. In Florida, illegal aliens are employed because the Governor (R), Rick Scott, decided NOT to enact E-Verify, even though he campaigned on enacting it. After being elected, Rick Scott decided that it was advantageous to Florida business to keep hiring illegals.
Rick Scott is now running for US Senate. He ensures that businesses can hire illegals. So does Trump. Trump doesn't say anything about enacting E-Verify. It's cheaper and faster than the wall and it would immediately cut down the number of illegals taking jobs from Americans. Businesses want to continue to hire cheap illegals and the GOP is fine with it. Else they would require E-Verify. The GOP cares more about businesses making profits than they do about Americans making higher wages.

That’s the companies business. They exist to create a profit. If they can hire an Indian for $20K less and that Indian can still live a good life, who am I to complain. That’s how competition works.
