I’m so glad cops have body cams now, but that doesn’t stop the “community” from demanding that the officers be arrested “or else.” The guy had a gun, was firing the gun before the police arrived, ran from the police, said he did not have a gun while running with it in his hand, pointed the gun at the police and fired off at least one round before the cops shot him. He was also drunk and had drugs in his system. But that won’t stop the calls for “protest” and violnve:
I'm not sure he was a thug, but he was a drunk and high dude firing a gun around....sadly, in our gun culture that means he gets shot down.
In a lot of other cultures he'd never have a gun and just be another drunk fool. I truly feel bad for cops because most of them really don't want to gun citizens down. Most go their whole careers without even firing.
But in a situation like this there is nothing you can do. The die was cast when unlimited numbers of guns flooded the market and people who shouldn't have them can buy them easier than a bottle of beer.

The department found that the FPD has a pattern or practice of:
Conducting stops without reasonable suspicion and arrests without probable cause in violation of the Fourth Amendment;
Interfering with the right to free expression in violation of the First Amendment; and
Using unreasonable force in violation of the Fourth Amendment.
The department found a pattern or practice of racial bias in both the FPD and municipal court:
The harms of Ferguson’s police and court practices are borne disproportionately by African Americans and that this disproportionate impact is avoidable.
Ferguson’s harmful court and police practices are due, at least in part, to intentional discrimination, as demonstrated by direct evidence of racial bias and stereotyping about African Americans by certain Ferguson police and municipal court officials.

Your second sentence, I agree with...but your first, is that what you want here?

What does your quote about misconduct by one police department in MO have to do with the justified police shooting in a whole other state mentioned in the OP?
It is sad the officer will now be demonized
As to the dead man what possessed a man that he should go on a shooting rampage and attempt to overpower the police with pistol
Did he think they were going to run away???
