Well, he made it quite easy for Shapiro. He stepped in it several times. Shapiro explained it quite well for everyone else, though.

Okay. No disagreement here.

Unfortunately, this is a red herring.

Why? Why is a socialist program that would see that everyone can see a doctor when they get sick a bad idea but a socialist bail out of a corporation something that can simply be over looked?

Why would that not be a good question in a debate? How would Shapiro answer?

I stated that the money flow is,

taxpayer ---> federal government ---> private healthcare corporation.

You seemed okay with that. If you are not okay with it, please correct it. How does the money flow in UHC in the majority of the cases?

Here is the way he would respond and it is very close to the way I feel about it. He didn't rip on insurance companies nearly as much as I would have, but his basic reasons for supporting a competitive health care system are mine as well.

As for the bailout thing, I don't think that is any better.

Back up a second.... Trump was by far the most accessible candidate with near daily news conferences and interviews. Meanwhile Hillary went more than half a year without even a press conference.

I still think Ocasio-Cortez vs Shapiro would be quite enlightening. Assuming Cortez could articulate her philosophy and Shapiro could articulate his without a lot of attacking either way, it would be a great way to be exposed to two vastly differing philosophies.

How is he not. He believes corporations are always right and that the US has legal authority to break international law wherever we may please.
