My husband comes from a Mormon family, and from what we've seen during family gatherings, most are definite Trump supporters.

Wow, religious folks who actually have values and principle and are not hypocrites. That’s a rare trait in Trump’s America.

Most people, religious, or not have empathy for other people. Trump does not know what empathy means. Maybe, the Mormons are just as sick of this man child as a lot of people are. Again, JMO.

Do you have insider information, that "Trump has Utah in the bag in 2020?" Hope that is a bad joke.
Trump needs to be fired or resign ASAP, for the good of our country and the world.

and vote for whom instead, Democrats? LOL.......yeah like Democrats don't have a long history of lying, cheating, bigotry, racism and morals.

Most Mormons in Utah are whites....you think they will dump Trump for the Democrats who are racists against White people and have a hostile attitude against people of faith? BHAAAAA!!!

I live in Utah for years,,,,,,you want bet $$$$ that Trump wins Utah easily in 2020? Mormons are not voting for any of the looney Democrats in 2020.

I voted for McMullin because he was the only candidate my conscience let me vote for. It had nothing to do with his religion, and frankly, not a whole lot to do with his politics.

a democrat Mormon, you are a minority in Utah............so you voted for McMullin and couldn't care about the issues or what he stood for? LOL.....that makes you a clueless voter.

don't worry you can vote for Bernie Sanders like candidate in 2020 or Warren. I'm sure Mormons are big into socialism.

As to Republicans supporting the Civil Rights Act in the 50's, how many times does it have to be explained that many switched parties during the Civll Rights movement? Look it up rather than just repeating lies.

We are talking about the here and now and LBJ's stand on Civil Rights would in no way fit with the current Republicans.

Reagan did not leave the country in better economic condition that he found it and Carter left it in about the same condition. Look it up. It's true.

As to Trump's one quarter of 4% GDP grown, this was juiced by Trump's tariff war nonsense. Lots of exports were shipped ahead of time to beat the tariffs. The next quarter is highly unlikely to meet this bar.

Also, Obama beat this 4% in one quarter several times.

No matter how many times you tell these lies, these are still lies.

Trump may get by with lying constantly, but he'd be called on it on this forum.

1) stop repeating lies, no wonder you are a democrat.....after the civil rights act passed, 99% of the Dixiecrats that voted against the Civil Rights Act stayed in the Democrat Party until their retirement or death in office like Robert Byrd and AL GORE SR. (Al Gore's daddy)......only 1 switched parties and that was Thurmond. 99% of the democrats in the South that voted against the civil rights act of the 50's and 60's stayed in the DEMOCRAT party for life.

if you keep repeating the same lies, I will post the names of each of the Democrat U.S. senators and representatives who voted against the Civil Rights Act of the 50's and 60's and show you 99% of them stayed in the Democrat party until their retirement or death.

you are just repeating lies......the south didn't switched parties until the 90's when the old Democrats died and the democrat party went really left on abortions and social issues.

2) Reagan left the country in a better shape than what Carter left it. That's why Reagan won RE-ELECTION by a 49 state landslide in 1984 and would have won a 3rd term easily against any Democrat in 1988 if he could have run for a 3rd term. Just ask the Reagan Democrats if Reagan turned around the country that Carter left. Even they agree.

3) If Democrats are not for open borders, why have sanctuary cities? see how you lie again or just clueless......their policy now is if you make it here you get to stay here, especially if you have kids......Democrats care about families and don't separate them unless you are a U.S. Citizen and break the law.

4) democrats are for "sensible" gun control? BHAAAAAA!!! again, clueless again.....none of the democrats "sensible" gun control proposals would do NOTHING to stop crime or stop mass shootings....just because you repeat the kool aid and put the word "sensible" doesn't make it so.

5) bogus malarky?????? at least be original and stop repeating Joe Biden.

You know, I find it funny. The very people that attacked, lied about and demonized Romney as the 2nd incarnation of the devil, are now saying what a great, moral guy he is since he doesn't support Trump.

Yeah, I am the same...Mormon, unaffiliated, though I used to be R and vote that way generally. I was glad to have a 3rd option that wasn't either of those 2.

Have to see who his opponent is (though I am hoping he will be primaried). I would rather write in someone than ever vote for Trump.

I don't see anyone saying Romney is a great moral guy. Well, anyone besides you.

Romney is still the creepy, greedy, predatory "private capital" chickenhawk he's always been.

It's just that in contrast to tRump, he looks a whole lot better.

But he's still an opportunistic slug.

Trump’s America = America as it has always been.

There’s nothing new under the sun.

You can LOL and insult me to your heart's content if it makes you happy, but the bottom line is that I wanted a President who was neither crooked nor crazy, and neither Hillary nor Trump qualified. I figured a decent human being at the helm would be better than either of the other two options, particularly since our government is not an autocracy (though sometimes it appears to be getting close). Of course I care about a candidate's position on the issues, but I've never found one yet that I agree with 100%. At least with someone like McMullin, we wouldn't be dealing with the situation we've now got on the US - Mexico border.

Actually, I did vote for Bernie in the primaries and would have voted for him in the general election had he made it that far. To be perfectly honest, I really, really wish I could have voted for Jon Huntsman, Jr. In my opinion, he would have made a fantastic president.
