Prompt and detailed reporting of suspicious activities can help prevent violent crimes or terrorist attacks. If you see suspicious activity, please report it to your local police department. Local law enforcement officers can respond quickly. Once they assess the situation, they can obtain additional support.
crazy 87 year old dandelion harvesting terrorists!
There’s no way in hell that I can go along with tasing an 87 year old woman that can’t even speak English. I’m cynical, but I still have enough humanity and decency leftover to know that there’s something VERY wrong with that picture.
Part of our duties as a non elderly humans is to protect the elderly from unnecessary pain and humiliation. We’re responsible for them living out their years with dignity, and respecting the fact that they preserved this society for us to live comfortably in. I cannot tolerate a physical attack on an elderly person.
That’s a scene that would NEVER play out in most civilized nations. An Italian or French police officer wouldn’t dare to tase an 87 year old woman. That we’d tolerate it here is some sad ****!
Yeah, don't say how easy or how hard any job a police officer does without walking in their shoes. Go on a Friday night ride-along and see how easy it is.
Telling the cops that she didn't speak Engish should have been a clue to them.
Her age and the dandelions are irrelevant details which were obviously used to invoke sympathy.
Of course the details are relevant. Her age: She may not hear well; she may not be terribly strong; she may not be able to move easily. The dandelions: provide the reason she has a knife.
Seriously, only the most dimwitted idiot cop on the planet would think this woman was a threat. The hiring threshold in this particular department must have been dangerously low.
