Lets drill for our own oil, lets build more refineries, nuclear power plants, and grow corn for food, not fuel.

I live in Michigan, one of 23 states that drills for oil. I'd be interested to know how much more is out there and if it is something we should look into.

I'm definitely with you on that.

I think we need to turn towards electricity. It is renewable and can provide energy for pretty much anything. Hybrid cars can't even compare to cars that run on gas. Electric cars, on the other hand, are just as good as them and some even better.

Electricity needs to become the new fuel.

How about offering a substantial prize for the person(s) that come up with a viable new source for energy that is clean, green and oil free?

Going green is not the answer. At least not if you want cheap fuel. Remember, if there was a natural fuel that could be made out of a plant, government would have to step in and subsidize more farmers. Where do you think all the money to do what would come from?

Or, how about we all be a little more aware of how we're using energy every day and reduce consumption?

If we reduce consumption, where is Gov going to get tax at the pump. WE NEED MORE OIL, NOT CORN!
