Not your concern. You may in fact be one of those lousy parents.

For real, man. Like if we want to let our kids drink lighter fluid, the state should back off!

I see you point about peoples rights and the overreach of government. But the fact is a large percentage of American parents do not have the ability, knowledge, or power to fully control their children. And without laws to laws to stop our children from doing certain harmful things (large numbers of Americas children would be at risk.)
LOL - Any 12 year old that wants to do any of the above can certainly do it and does every day of the week. Throw in drugs, gangs and guns also.

These stupid laws never stopped a kid or their illiterate parents from doing any of the above.

The "Impact of first federally funded anti-smoking ad campaign remains strong after three years."
"Nearly 2 million smokers inspired to quit by CDC’s Tips ads in 2014."

If government campaigns can make millions of Americans quit smoking, why wouldn't government campaigns to make children healthier have the same outcome?

Oh, you mean like Republicans who want to control everyone's sex lives and vices and who want to force "family values" down everyone's throats despite having none of their own?
