Timeline:Ms. Ramirez
•She didn't know who it was for 35 years
•Kavanaugh was nominated
•She met with Dem lawyer for 6 days to "assess her memories"
•Accused Kavanaugh
•She still isn't even sure it was him
•All the witnesses deny it
•Kavanaugh denies it
•Other outlets passed on story
Which is why they passed on the story as the New Yorker should have done. This story has hurt and will hurt Farrow's credibility as a journalist. He's now just digging the hole deeper by defending it on so many media outlets.
Perhaps Mr. Farrow should lie about what he had been told in his investigation? It isn't the NYTimes story.
Sexual assault isn't like satanic worship claims. Many many many women have been sexually assaulted.
Bill Cosby is being sentenced today. Maybe he is innocent too and being witch hunted.
Oh good. You completely missed the point. What did Bill Cosby's case that this one doesn't? Evidence. The left sure seems to have an issue with the concept of presumption of innocence especially in a sexual assault case. There isn't even a scintilla of evidence in this case. Doesn't know even approximate time frame (give us the week, the month, the weather, ANYTHING!) or location. The ones she claimed were there do not back up her case. Why do you think it's enough to destroy this mans' career?
When indisputable evidence of such allegations is provided.
Remember the documented statistic... 41% of rapes reported to and recorded by law enforcement agencies are false accusations.
Remember this documented statistic:
Actually only about 2-8% of rape cases are proven to be false. The rate of cases that are closed without prosecution is around 40% but that includes cases in which there was insufficient evidence, the accuser was uncooperative, or the incident did not meet the legal standard of assault.

You think what he's doing is okay? You think taking a story in which the accuser herself says she's not sure it's him and had to be coached by Democrat lawyers for six days first to even get to that point is a good story? If you do, there's little hope for you.
Remember in the 80s when every day worker and their brother was being accused of Satan worshipping? Craziness and people used the same justification then as they're using now - using the number of accusations as "proof" the claims were true. Whelp, it turned out it was a touch of mass hysteria along with flat out lying. Why did those people do that? Who knows but it does happen and especially so where there's this piling on effect from the media much like we saw in the 80s.
Day care centers were caught up in being accused of such, too. All based on zero evidence, just like now. Yes, it's mass hysteria. The settlers in Salem, MA fell for it in the late 17th century, as well. History repeats itself because some learn from past mistakes, others don't.

The Satan worship crowd never went away. They are fewer in number now, and quieter, but they're still around. Nobody gives up a delicious theory like rampant Satan worship in exchange for the painful experience of looking in a mirror and acknowledging fault. The conspiracy theorists are in cubicles, some of them, in the agencies. Satan worship lost a little luster as a go-to conspiracy theory, but it still gets pulled out with all the other crackpot notions when the fishing expeditions start.

All accusations must be assumed to be true. To think otherwise is to be pro rape and anti-woman.

What you're actually saying is that percentage verifies the rape accusation was false but the remainder (the 40% you note) is in question. Note, you cannot say for sure those remaining cases prove the rape accusation was true as it remains in the unknown category. Just want to make sure that's clear as people use statistics in very interesting ways on this board (by interesting read: poorly done).
The Times had interviewed several dozen people over the past week in an attempt to corroborate her story, and could find no one with firsthand knowledge. Ms. Ramirez herself contacted former Yale classmates asking if they recalled the incident and told some of them that she could not be certain Mr. Kavanaugh was the one who exposed himself.
