Weather.

Winter/cold sucks.

So all those Canadians that can't speak their mind -- lolol --- go south for the winter.

Hmmmm --- and they scuff the shoes they buy -- ha -- so there.
Why don't they all move to Vancouver??

And why do so many Americans live in cold weather cities?

Fun to trigger Trump fans for some reason. They hate to think that any other country that might do things differently might be a great place to live.

But it is silly.

USA is a great country, Canada is a great country -- end of story.
There was no such thing as a "Trump fan" when this article came out in 2013.

Not all Americans are as stupid as some on here.

Now when was the last time Canada received any help of any kind from the U.S.? Help me out here, Google's not showing anything.
Well, we let you post here on C-D, which is administered from Chicago. I’m not aware of any Canadian counterpart open for international participation with anything remotely like the breadth of topics and number of posters.

Of course, that’s assuming that we’d want to post there. We’re too busy down here trying to match Canada’s military might.

Gee, thanks. But the "we" has just got to be figurative as you yourself wouldn't let a Canadian do anything but "genuflect" towards the south from whence it is assumed all mana from heaven flows.

A reminder might be in order once again; this thread's O/P is an American.

How ironic and embarrassing for you the O/P is an AMERICAN!

Why isn't this in the travel forum? Or do you mean Trudeau is better than Trump? Is that the real meaning of this thread?

There are a lot of countries better off than America. There are also a lot of places worse off than America. Is there a point????

Why post this?? Hoping we change to be more like Canada? Just rubbing it in?? Justifying a move to Canada? What's the point?

Weird.

Fact is YOU CAN"T move to Canada a become a citizen except under strict guidelines.
The original post was correct in saying Canada had a much better immigration system (probably some other things as well) and the US would be wise to copy it.

The O/P is just another disgruntled American of which their seems to be no shortage today. Canadians while sympathetic, have no control over those.
