Smoking has killed 100 million people and counting.........It's a drug....it should be outlawed........

Do you have a link to factual documentation to support your statement or are you randomly throwing numbers out?
I do give you credit for the outlaw part instead of the usual shuffle while states make millions of the taxes on smokes

You could say 100 million if you count all smokers who ever lived in the world. Easily over 100 million, but when you are dealing with that many people and dealing with something that people choose to do and didn't even realize how unhealthy it was until the 1950s, its a little unfair.
You can come up with similar high numbers--that wouldn't be untrue--for alcohol, fatty foods, and even probably more people than Hitler and Stalin ever killed for caffeine.
It's that smoking is voluntary is what makes it different.
I still say it all started with seat belts, once the nanny state got momentum it became a massive slippery slope. And to be fair, I'm not a supporter of MADD either (I think their pushing to get the blood alcohol rate lowered to .08 from .10 was ridiculous).
I told my wife when this was going on that the nanny police would go after fat and sugar next, trying to find ways to tax candy and other snack foods. In the end, it is about money and authority, and both are obnoxious.
I favor establishments being required to set aside a non-smoking section if they don't serve alcoholic drinks, and that is the limit in my support for this issue.

And that is very fair...but the "I want it all and I want it now people" couldn't see that
Great. As soon as you outlaw every other thing that is a "drug". We'll start with alcohol and caffeine, okay?
She might. I remember the former the head of the DEA shut up a person when he was debating who said that it makes no sense to have cocaine and marijuana illegal when tobacco and alcohol are just as unhealthy. He replied that he would outlaw them as well and even consider restricting caffeine.
Once again, I cannot agree with it, but it is so much more consistent and logical than:
"Tobacco smoke is deadly and should be banned."
"Smoke from cooking contains many of the same chemicals as tobacco smoke and often in higher amounts, if you want to ban smoking from private property for health reasons, it is only fair you ban charcoal grilling and barbecues as well."
Wow guys...I decide to leave for a while and lookie-look how many pages I missed! I'm surprised no one has posted this one yet regarding the Kentucky restaurant owner who escorted O. J. Simpson out of his restaurant. Below is his reason, quoted from an article published by the Associated Press on MSNBC:
“I didn’t want to serve him because of my convictions of what he’s done to those families,†Jeff Ruby said in a telephone interview Tuesday. “The way he continues to torture the lives of those families ... with his behavior, attitude and conduct.â€

I would think that maintaining a good relationship with local law enforcement would be somewhat adventageous to a business owner -
