Trump is just doing what he campaigned on. One of the few politicians in my lifetime to do that. He is doing exactly what got him elected, and it will get him re-elected.

That's important if you are a tax payer...not so much if you are a net recipient of government largess.
And you don't think that is already baked into the projection numbers already? When this economy falls off a cliff, and it will, it will be greatly exacerbated by this ill timed tax giveaway.

The main thing I like about Trump is that Democrats hate him.

Why Democrats hate him so much? Mostly because he ran as a Republican, and politics is a team sport. But they also hate him because he doesn't even try to act upper class. Democrats expect their president to act smart and educated, like Obama. It doesn't really matter what the president does, just how they act and what they pretend to be.

Trump is obviously not against gays and is obviously not a racist. He had some bigoted supporters, but that says nothing about what he thinks.

Russia is not our enemy, the cold war is long over, the Soviet Union is long dead. If Russian hackers tried to influence the election, I doubt an old guy like Trump knew anything about it.

And if you got rid of all the male politicians who ever had sex with a prostitute, congress would be all female. Democrats only hate womanizing when it's done by a Republican.

The moral is -- all the crazed polarization is entirely based on superficial style and emotion, and tribalism. Rationality and facts have nothing to do with it.

We don’t care what the Fake Fox News puppets say either.
Kudos. We Americans need more of you.

The GOP is full of complicit, spineless cowards. It’s good that people see them for what they’ve sadly become.

Donald Trumps tax cuts raised workers income by 0.8%, and raised (his) the richest 0.1% of Americans income by 14.2%.
https://www.forbes.com/sites/janetno...nalysis-finds/

And to pay for Trumps (and his wealthy friends) tax cut republicans are going to cut your Social Security and Medicare.

While Trump distracts, GOP to gut Medicare, Social Security - The San Diego Union-Tribune

Then Trumps corporate deregulation (favors for his CEO pals) will do the following,

Greatly increase the risk of breast cancer for your mother, wife, and daughters.
http://thehill.com/opinion/energy-en...-breast-cancer

Kill 100,000's of Americans from increased exposure to substances like asbestos.
https://www.cbsnews.com/news/trumps-...tances-review/

Increase the chances of your family having children with birth defects.
https://www.bloomberg.com/news/artic...ashing-the-epa

Cause the drinking water of 117 million Americans to be at risk of being contaminated by hazardous chemicals.
https://www.ewg.org/release/trumps-e...k#.W5PSZFRKjIW

Kill 1,000's of Americans each year from increased air pollution.
https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/...=.22f34c7dc2cf

Increase the chances of your friends and family being injured at work and being exposed to deadly chemicals at work.
https://www.forbes.com/sites/justcap.../#7002c3164bfb

Allow poisons into our food and water supply that will cause children to get brain damage.
https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/...on-agency.html

And stop the cleanup of toxic waste sites that give people cancer.
http://thehill.com/blogs/pundits-blo...e-need-it-most

And since Trump became president he has told you 4,713 lies.
https://www.washingtonpost.com/graph...=.a6277e661eeb

And I could go on and on.

But as Trump said, "I could stand in the middle of 5th Avenue and shoot somebody and I wouldn’t lose voters."

Trump can also take your Social Security and Medicare and put that money in his own pocket, he can give your mother, wife and daughter breast cancer, cause your grandchildren to be born with birth defects, kill your friends by exposing them to deadly substances at work, poison your drinking water, give your grandchildren brain damage, and tell you 1,000's of lies while doing it (and you will still love him and publicly praise him.)

And all I can do is thank God that only 43% of Americans are stupid enough, weak enough, and cult follower enough to blindly serve and praise a cult leader/bit-- like Donald Trump.

What was Obama supposed to do after the 2008 crash (during a time of GOP control)? Cut spending and let millions of people left jobless by the crash suffer without any assistance and let the economy tank?

^Trump fans, ladies and gentlemen.

You think Donald Trump doesn’t act upper class? What do you think upper class means??

If you think it means having lucid thought and being cognizant, then, yes—Trump is not.

You sound like a nice, reasonable person. I’m sure that if I knew you and your husband, we’d get along fine. Your husband deserves congratulations for both his business success and his forthcoming US citizenship. I didn’t read the entire thread so any omission about you or your family is inadvertent.

I’m the black sheep liberal in my family (except my wife), so I live with, and love, many who share your political beliefs. I could no more hate them than I could stop breathing. And I’ll decline to hate you either. I hope we find common ground.

Yep.

That was our chance to build an economy based on capitalism, instead of crony corporatism.
