i'm sure they can but that will only be evidence that donnie j jr called daddy, not evidence of what was discussed ( and i think it will be a safe guess that both father and son will have selective amnesia of the call ).
Jr. might have bragged to Manafort about being in contact with Trump, keeping daddy informed about the meeting that was going on.
I'd wager heavily that every Russian in that meeting was wired for sound, and maybe video.

It's a possibility that the Russians had a few poison darts in their pockets too, just in case they had to kill Manafort and whoever else was there if things went south.

Non-liberal here. If there is no collusion and Trump is innocent then that should be the end of it. I just want the investigation to be completed in full.
Whether or not he is guilty the damage has already been done. There is no way he gets re-elected in 2020.
