As for me, I voted the same. Basically, I am extremely happy that I and my family were allowed to immigrate to the U.S. from Israel and thus I want to give other people an opportunity to likewise move to the U.S. and experience the American dream. However, I am also concerned about things such as housing prices and thus I don't want too many immigrants moving here. Basically, I am afraid that large parts of the nation are going to have California-level housing prices if we'll accept too many immigrants into this country.

The population has more than doubled in my lifetime, it is time to stop all immigration.
I would prefer very limited, 1924-1964 levels, using the RAISE ACT to decide who we let in.
With two additional stipulations-repudiating your prior citizenship should be required, and no travel VISAs should be granted to that nation for a full decade.
Come here unequivocally or stay in your present nation..
There is a case that we have to have more, because native birth rates have declined below replacement level (2.1 babies per female). Otherwise we run into all kinds of problems, which are currently plaguing nations like Japan, and countries in Eastern Europe.
We need to kick out those who don’t assimilate or pull their own weight first.
