It has been mentioned that the Resist movement is meant for the individual. That explains why it doesn't resonate with others. It is not meant to connect to others.

The only thing I don't like about RESIST and other movements like it is that it is a reaction. The purpose of the movement is to slow down the current government. Problems either never get solved or get pushed down the line even further. When the democrats gain power again in the executive and legislative branch, republicans will have their "resist" movement.

I have to wonder if the OP is 18 and this is their first election cycle or if they are just a sweet summer child. This is how politics work in a two party system. Always has.

The acrimony is a little bit more fervent than in the past (which I lay at the feet of Newt Gingrinch and Fox News). They wanted to change the game and they did. Not for the better in my opinion, although certainly it raised the fortunes of the GOP in terms of winning elections, but there you have it. The GOP stopped almost everything Obama put up in his last six years. Not to mention personal attacks on his character and even his birthplace. Like he was a plant or something? Crazy. This is just the way things are and the proliferation of BS opinions on the internet do not help. What are we going to do? Something eventually but I have no idea what.

I know I don't.
Your opinion means absolutely nothing to me. With other people on here however, despite that we may be Conservative or Democrat, we have talked at length, and about many different subjects, in messages, and have had a mutual respect for each other. That is why it is disappointing to me if what I asked is true.

Those who suffer serious TDS of course would not understand that.
