what reduced standing???????????

on whose scale do you see a reduction?

and how does that translate to a negative for the US?

Happen to notice the upsurge in US economy, jobs and small business opportunities, 400% increase in black owned businesses. Trade deals pending with the EU and China, trade deals completed with mexico and Canada?

foreign investments are knocking down our doors to get in.

Right the next prez will have to mend fences....

Trump is the hope and change Obama promised and never delivered.

So, how are your tariffs working out for American companies ? Wonder how much bail out money Trump is going to have to feed them to make up for the repercussions they have seen from abroad ?

Xenophobia is an irrational fear or dislike of people from other countries. Sorry, but I don't think any comments thus far in the thread meet that mark. Believing in one's country and it's abilities does not mean you fear or dislike people from other countries.

The isolationists that have posted in this thread seem not to understand or realize the importance of allies and keeping good relations with trading partners.

They dismiss the WTO as a Euro-trash organization, while ignoring the fact that it has 164 member states worldwide. Must be bad, because Trump said so.

One even posted that the US can be self-sufficient. Kind of impossible for any country in the 21st century, but the fantasy squashes any fears of the outside world.

This Forbes article shows how much the US's standing has fallen.

Not to mention they're running out of water to irrigate their crops. Would not have been able to build the atom bomb if they hadn't gotten uranium from Canada. Would not have been able to build the SR 71 Blackbird if they hadn't found a way to 'straw purchase' ore for titanium from Russia. Would have lost the 38th parallel in Korea if it hadn't been for their allies.

But they're totally self sufficient as legends in their own tiny minds.

We get it. You want America to be weak, pathetic, and dependent on the rest of the world. Go move to Europe if you want to live that way. America is the land of the brave and the free. This land belongs to we the people, a force that cannot and will not be held down.

My, my how the left has changed:

World Trade Organization Protests in Seattle - CityArchives | seattle.gov

I pointed this out because I lived in Seattle when this was going on. Couldn't get anywhere, couldn't go on certain streets because they were closed down and the violence was out of control, we were actually told not to go downtown - I LIVED downtown, imagine how fun that was for those of us who lived downtown and had a hard time getting to our own fricken homes.

The left was against the WTO, now they trash on Trump for not being invited .... the TDS is revealed.
