I do find it interesting suddenly we are concerned over people dying in Saudi Arabia. People have been dying in that country for various reasons. Most times its quiet and its not a national story and because it was a "journalist" suddenly its a story.
This is my over all op. Dont make business deals with dictators of countries, and dont make your country dependent on it.
We never should have gotten in bed with most of the middle east and left it to rot.
That includes north korea, china and most communist countries.

Otto made a fatal mistake. Kashagooi did not, they sent a hit squad AFTER him in another country. Big difference.

I am pretty sure if North Korea sent a hit square to kill Otti while he was an allied or neutral country at an emabassy it would be a total different story.
That is quite a fine line you drew there. Otto did not go illegally to North Korea.

It is unfortunate that the United States must have dealings with unsavory country's, but let's face reality , the vast majority of our trade is with those countries.

Think first before typing.
Job creation due to the Saudi arms deal is in the hundreds, not thousands as Trump claims based on information from the two major defense contractors who benefit from this.

Saudi Arabia Arms Deal Will Create a Fraction of the Jobs Trump Claims | Fortune

Think first before lying.

You are correct in that many people have been raising the red flags on Saudi for quite some time; especially after 9/11. They have consistently violated human rights. I think, however, on this point with the journalist it is the first time we've gotten hard evidence of an outright assassination plot.

Trump is not the only president who has looked the other way with the Saudis. What I don't like is more of his "embracement" and defense of them. As I said upthread, they really do have us by the balls and it is a real tough place to be in: when to compromise your principles.

He wasn't a citizen of USA.
He stepped on the wrong toes.
People get killed or go missing in this world, is it right,
personally I don't think so.
Let his people worry about his misfortune.
