How so? Since Trump was elected, Bin-Talal lost all power in the Saudi Govt., was arrested, imprisoned, had all his money frozen & was forced to pay back money he took in from corruption. Trump kept yet another promise.

Curioser and curioser....

Nice conspiracy theory.

If that was their intent, "knowing better" wouldn't have saved him. They just would have had one of the guys go "mug" him and cut his throat with a knife and take his wallet etc.

If you're not in some deep deep hiding or have armed guards and anyone serious with military training and resources etc is out to get you....you're going to die.

You might want to back up a few steps here. Leaders of both parties as well as the current and past administrations have repeating kissed the Saudi's behind for decades. And yes it is disgusting. Not just for this murder but the Saudi genocide in Yemen. Ksahoggi's criticism of the genocide in Yemen is the main reason the Saudi's killed him. Leaders of both parties are bought and paid for by the Saudi's to do their bidding.

Why Are We Helping Saudi Arabia Destroy Yemen?

A few conscientious Members of Congress got together recently to introduce a special motion under the 1973 War Powers Act that would have required a vote on our continued military involvement in the Yemen genocide. The leadership of both parties joined together to destroy this attempt to at least get a vote on US aggression against Yemen. As it turns out, the only Members to vote against this shamefully gutted resolution were the original Members who introduced it.

Yes, Ron Paul is right on about the U.S. being complicit in the Yemen atrocity. That's why I favor cutting off all arms sales to the Saudis.

Well its become a representation of who our president is. Donald Trump hates journalists. No doubt about it. Kushner secret chats with mbs via what's app. He got his back channel to hide his conversations with the Saudis. Why do that?

It is not a leap to see its a straight line between them to cover up this murder.

Both remain in leadership by lies, brutality, cheating.
Both regime are human rights abusers.
Both regime are sinister.

Decent Americans are envious of the " caravan" . At least they have a dream of something better. Except they are walking into a trap. Trump Republicans would love to run a country where its citizens have ZERO power.

This is an opportunity for Trump to take a stand but I am not holding my breath. My guess is that the Crown Prince will get a good wrist-slapping and Trump will tell us all that justice was served. Sure he's giving it lip service for now, but deep down he admires the Saudi's for the way they squelch dissidence. Don't kid yourself, Trump would love to do the same if he thought he could get by with it. Ans a lot of his supporters would be right behind him.

They do it because tRump, hate radio and Fox News tell them to.

Right wingers are very compliant followers who seek out daily instructions on who to hate and what to repeat. Khashoggi was a journalist, and tRump has smeared them repeatedly as enemies over the past two years.

This is all science based and backed by research.

Right-wing authoritarians are people who have a high degree of willingness to submit to authorities they perceive as established and legitimate, who adhere to societal conventions and norms, and who are hostile and punitive in their attitudes towards people who don't adhere to them. They value uniformity and are in favour of using group authority, including coercion, to achieve it.
Right-wing authoritarians want society and social interactions structured in ways that increase uniformity and minimize diversity. In order to achieve that, they tend to be in favour of social control, coercion, and the use of group authority to place constraints on the behaviours of people such as political dissidents and ethnic minorities. These constraints might include restrictions on immigration, limits on free speech and association and laws regulating moral behaviour. It is the willingness to support or take action that leads to increased social uniformity that makes right-wing authoritarianism more than just a personal distaste for difference. Right-wing authoritarianism is characterized by obedience to authority, moral absolutism, racial and ethnic prejudice, and intolerance and punitiveness towards dissidents and deviants.
