Disagree. We are used to seeing ourselves as moral and we congratulate ourselves for our so-called values, but we shred those values every day. A country's moral values are manifested by the way they treat the most despised and condemned among its people.
This is true. However it has never been more overt and evident than in the Trump Administration. Trump is certainly more "honest" in that regard, he's pulled off the white sheet and hood to show the whole world that we are perfectly willing to look the other way while despots like Duterte and Kim Jong-Un and bin Salman and Putin commit atrocities to their citizens on a daily basis.
We'll see where this goes. Most likely outcome will be that Trump will make a show of scolding the Saudi's but at the end of the day we'll still be doing business with them. Most importantly TRUMP will still be doing business with them.
Even our pathetic lackey Senators have given lip service to this: “Your recent statements, and public reports of increased spending by the Saudi government at Trump properties, raise significant concerns about financial conflicts of interest”. Nice observation but you can bet dollars to donuts it will never move beyond rhetoric.
In the Middle East, $$$ trump morality every single time. Why would this round be any different?
here in the US we just use drones. Less manpower, no cover story required, the press is on board, the citizens approve. The young Saudi prince has much to learn from us. https://www.vox.com/policy-and-polit...eillance-trump

Even more chilling from a constitutional perspective is that the Obama administration has — with little to no complaint from the American people or the other two branches of government — deliberately targeted and killed US citizens in drone strikes, without those individuals ever having been given their constitutional right to due process of law.
Wow....I was unaware that Khasoggi was critical of Trump....Trump who is good friends with the Saudis and has done tens of millions of dollars in business with them.....
And then that very same outspoken Trump critic was killed by a Saudi (Trump's friends) assassination team......
The guy has spent years writing posts criticizing the ruling crown prince, for both the general public and politicians to read, in a country where the prince was trying to create and retain a positive image. In Saudi Arabia he would have been tortured, jailed, or perhaps executed after the first critical piece, it was being on US soil that allowed him to continue being such a vocal dissident. Rumors are they cut off his fingers, I find that believable because I can see that being logical in Arabic reasoning (not saying I think it’s right) - cutting off the offending parts. I can buy into the notion that it was an interrogation gone wrong or punishment that went overboard, but honestly if they had arrested him, put him on plane to Saudi Arabia, tortured him there, put him on a fast track trial, and executed him there is not much anyone could do about it. Saudi citizen/Saudi soil/Saudi laws. Morally wrong - legally allowed.
Same argument could be made about Hitler and what he did to the jews, or apartheid in South Africa. Just because a country has barbaric laws does not make it acceptable. The Saudi's need to pay financially deeply for this sort of thing.
How can we find out so much so fast about a murder of a foreign man in a foreign country and Mueller has been digging around looking for evidence for a suspected crime for 2 years now??

I think it's more like Mueller has been finding evidence of crimes. The numerous convictions and plea deals that he has gotten already would seem to point to that.

Trump has already said he won't testify and throw himself in the slammer, so it is making muellers job harder
