Yeah but humans on average have 90% common DNA with a housecat. If you take the entire genome in account humans really have about 93% common DNA with chimps.

That all just demonstrates why the small difference between human races ~.2 or so is still significant.

Why though? So they can be held to higher white standards? Who would want that?

Trump won here.
He also lied right in a camera, that cancels out the win. We get to pick which is worse; her not being an Indian or the President getting caught in a big petty lie. He seemed to not even remember the reason she took the test.

I really couldn't care less about Warren's DNA or Trump's racist chants of Pocahontas. Of course he's not going to make good on his word.

Because she didn't make good on her word that she was substantially Cherokee and not just some dubious minor ~1/512 average or less Indian ancestry.

When did she specifically say she was 'substantially Cherokee"? I certainly do not recall that claim.

It's idiotic all the way around.

The Huffington Post is now throwing Elizabeth Warren under the bus:

Quote:
Elizabeth Warren Is Not Native American

Massachusetts senator (and 2020 Democratic presidential hopeful) Elizabeth Warren is not Native American.

Native American identity is about belonging to a community. It is a specific political, legal and social formation akin to a form of citizenship that is particular to each tribe, nation, confederacy or otherwise sovereign and self-determining Indigenous government—numbering 567 federally recognized tribes and hundreds of Alaska Native, Hawaiian and state-recognized entities across the country.

It is also racial. Not in the biological sense, but in a more ephemeral cultural and social understanding of that word—an identity lived by Native Americans across tribal affiliations and policed by the shifting structures of discrimination, opportunity and the many mundane and extraordinary life experiences in between.

Warren cannot, does not and should not claim Native American identity in its tribal or racial form. She, like many people on a continent taken from First Peoples, can claim Native American ancestry.

At the very least, Native Heritage or Not, Elizabeth Warren can claim she is more AMERICAN that you are, Donald Trump.

By that token can Trump claim to be more American than Obama ? Trump is basically old stock American at this point and I think it is splitting hairs to distinguish between colonial stock vs old stock.

You know it's bad when both CNN and HufPo, call out a Democrat for lying.

If Pocahontas had any aspirations of running for President, she's completely ruined now. They will tear her apart in the Southern primaries.

Epic disaster for her for sure. And one, of her own making.
