Thanks for clarifying. In that case I will simply let our history speak to what a colossally stupid idea that is.

See the difference?
No because your statement is wrong. A person smoking in their backyard does not harm you. But as I've indicated, there are at least two other ways to consume cannabis besides smoking it.

What's different about marijuana's image compared to tobacco and alcohol? That explains why it's so demonized in the US and why we are still decades from legalization.

They may claim it's about "protecting the moral fabric of society" but I don't believe that to be the case.
LOL and there it is. The lemming sheep are convinced it's racism.
Guess you never saw fast times at Ridgemont high, or any other old school movie where it portrays white highschool/college aged students acting like idiots, eyes half open talking real slow...

It's the suburban soccer mom's that see anything that's a threat to their cherub and grandstand on banning for the sake of the ChildrunzTM.

I don't think we are still decades from legalization when close to 70% of the electorate now believes it should be legal recreationally.

Well, while we're at it, let's invite the radical Vegans, "animal-rights" crowd, and all the rest of the do-gooders and censor-wannabees to the party. Hopefully, they'll expend all their hostilities and hang-ups on each other, and the rest of us can live, and let live, in peace and quiet.

Well then, the Bush voters owe an awful lot of money for the Iraq War and the market crash and Great Recession.

Oh that's right--they made the wrong choice and then stuck the rest of us with the bill.

I'm not a pot smoker.

Holy crap, legalize the stuff and issue pardons to everyone in jail for non-violent pot related offenses.

Exactly. In fact anybody in jail for a non-violent "drug user" charge needs to be released. Incarceration is not effective and they will continue to use inside prison and outside once released. Rehabilitation is needed.

I hate smoking pot but I can rejoice that the Canadian government is no longer kidnapping and putting people in cages who like smoking it.
