If that means we implicitly encouraged illegal entry through our own incompetence and cowardice, I am ready to admit that with an amnesty and deal with it, as long as we stop illegal entry firmly going forward.

Actually, we do have good immigration laws already in place they just haven't been enforced like they should have been. I would disagree with any amnesty for any illegal aliens. Why should law abiding Americans be punished for the incompetence of our government? You use the words "we and our" when this is about our government not "us". They need to clean up this mess by deporting illegal aliens as they are found and secure the border. No amnesty, period!

Default Migrants in Tijuana address letter to Trump demand entry into United States or $50,000 for each migrant

Actually, Honduras cities looks like a resort to many California cities.

Maybe a week or two in downtown LA is all that it will take for them to go begging to go back. After all, Honduras cities downtown's look so clean compared to the humanitarian disaster in many liberal California cities.

Honduras cities look sparking clean compared to downtown LA.

Much of LA (outside of areas full of celebrities) looks like a toilet compared to Honduras.

I have to tell you that most big cities have areas like this. Not just California. Big cities in every state have bad areas.

Looks like it was only posted by the local San Diego ABC affiliate a few hours ago. But I'd say a large group of migrants at the border flying foreign flags and demanding to be paid $50,000 each, or else, qualifies as national news. If you don't see on your mainstream national news source of choice, then yes, you'll know that you're watching the fake news.

$50K or I'm crossing the border?

Sounds like they'd make good politicians with such antics. Let 'em in and put 'em in Congress.

Default Migrant group offers Trump blackmail terms, let them in, or pay them each $50G to turn around.

The demands are justified, they say, based off America's involvement in Honduras past. Yet one of the things they want is more interference in Honduras future including removing the current President of Honduras. Dammed if you do and dammed if you don't it seems.

They sure think like criminals complete with a 72 hour time limit to respond to the demands. The kind of people Chuck and Nancy want to let in and give them sanctuary. The experienced criminal blackmailers mindset often associated with kidnappers could become a new growth industry in the US like it has been south of the border.

$50,000 figure was chosen as a group.
“It may seem like a lot of money to you,” Ulloa told the paper. “But it is a small sum compared to everything the United States has stolen from Honduras.”

A letter from the group criticized U.S. intervention in Central America and asked the U.S. to remove Honduran President Orlando Hernandez from office. They gave the consulate 72 hours to respond.
