I could go on and on, but the only reality is, we in California are taking a real hit financially, while the state continues to decline, both environmentally, as well as morally.
California now world’s 5th largest economy, surpassing UK
One ray of light is perhaps coming up in a few days in the hope that proposition #6 will get a yes vote, and we can get some of our gas tax money back.
Prop 6 vote of YES repeals the gas tax but crooked Dem politicians in Sacramento reworded the proposition on the ballot to confuse people. They are desperate for that tax money. You know what happens when Dems get desperate. They play dirty.
I laugh when someone trots out the 'world's fifth largest economy' nonsense. That's like me maxing out all my credit cards, applying for more and maxing those out, putting all the cash advances in my checking account and proclaiming I'm rich.
A California finance expert said CA has the highest unrestricted net deficit. When a recession hits, bonds have to be paid first which means they will cut back on essential services. You think the roads and schools are crap now? You think there aren't enough cops to handle the growing population of ex cons released and drug addicts and vagrants now? Just wait.
Gavin Newsom as the new governor will be recalled. Every cloud has a silver lining.
Just drove through the blue state of Delaware the other day and only paid $2.37 for gas. That's lower than TX overall average and the overall averages for DE and TX are pretty close
Not sure why OP gets to pick and choose which red States he gets to compare to CA yet doesn't do something like compare a blue state like Delaware's gas prices, taxes, and COL to a red state like Alaska's gas prices etc.

I noticed that, too, and almost shared the same link earlier. This isn't about gas prices, it's about little Opie's rabid hatred of California, and it's very, very predictable, based on posting history.
I have lived in California for the majority of my 80 years, and I use to think the reason things were more expensive here is because it was such a beautiful place to live.
Well that use to be he case, but not now.
In some instances, prices have tripled, and quadrupled in the past four or five years, and the once beautiful state is fast becoming a sh..hole.
Very few have english as their primary language.
Filth is everywhere you look(unless you own a mountain hide-away)
Homeless tents everywhere.
Crazies walking the streets that at one time were confined in mental health facilities.

Bob.
I just read about a huge exodus from California by middle class people who are being essentially outlawed in the state.
Then I guess you huff some exhaust, have a plate of coal smothered in motor oil and wash it down with sme good ol’ American ethanol.
Smog, the pride of America. Damn Cali commues trying to clean up the air.. use to be more American when you could not see 10 ft in front of you and your eyes burned. Those tears and tunning noses? Thats just the conmie in you folks draining out!
^^^ Good one !
