I'm not going to waste one of my free NYT reads on this, but the fact is, lots of 80s teen comedies portray behavior that wouldn't pass the sniff test today. Did I watch them? Yes, and I liked many of them, although I thought "Porky's" was overrated. Would I consider them a good example of how to behave? No.
Sometimes I wonder if the raving lunatics at the New York Times every just stop to take a breath of fresh air and say: "wow, it is amazing what a bunch of ****ing nutjobs we all really are."
I mean, this is layers up layers of alternate reality.
Sometimes I wonder if posters here read the opinion pieces before they post about them. Or are capable of reading.
I didn’t read the article because, well, NY Times, but I loved Porkies. Think I’ll watch it again soon!
